nothing is static

Today I signed up for my Planet Fitness gym membership and finally went. After delaying it for 9 months.

It took all of 5 minutes to sign up.

It was fun as usual – pushing myself to failure in a lot of the sets.

I’ve also started acting classes because of the whim of trying to become an actor. Will it work out? Who knows. But I’d rather try than never find out.

I just booked my first gig, a short film in Virginia, and I flew there last weekend.

Weird how none of this was on the radar a year ago.

I never thought I would take action on my desire of becoming an actor. Thought it would sit as dust on the shelves as I try to make it big in Corporate America. That’s the dream, right?

But a conversation with my parents changed everything. I laid out the path I’d been stuck on – the one everyone expects – and they didn’t just tolerate the other one, they leaned into it. That’s when the acting path stopped being a hypothetical and I actually started on it.

Might go somewhere. Might not. Genuinely don’t know yet.

Anyway. Nothing about any of this felt planned, it just kind of happened once I stopped overthinking it.
